EA Defends ESA, Wags Finger At Activision/Vivendi Games

it was announced not to long ago that Activision and Vivendi (along with Lucasarts Games) would be leaving the ESA. I personally didn't see this as a big deal, I'm sure it has something to do with large cooperate hand holding and the fact that after the merger those two companies are quickly taking center stage as one of the largest software manufacturers in the biz. Well, EA didn't like this. Jeff Brown of EA Canada Stated:
I think having [Activision and Vivendi] pull out of the ESA reflects an unfortunate lack of leadership. There's always tensions inside these organizations, but for the most part it works, So it was sad to see them step away from that responsibility. We hope that others don't do that, but I think that the onus is on the ESA to prove that membership in it is good for the company and good for consumers. And I think we're going to see the ESA redouble its efforts to prove that.
Oh snaps in a z-formation the gauntlet is thrown. I think it's funny that they are so quick to undermine their decision. Is it just me, or does it kinda sound like calling the rats on the Titanic cowards?
