Ellen Gives WiiFit To Her Audience

I'm going to start off by saying that I'm a little bit jealous of the audience of The Ellen Degeneres Show. Today, Ellen handed out a massive stock pile of WiiFit packages to her in-studio audience. That's right, they all got a copy of a game that will be nigh impossible to find today. Lots of copies.
Yea, I know it's a fantastic gesture, but I kinda feel about this the way I feel about Oprah handing out free goodies at her tapings, the people in the audience are generally people of stable means that don't really need free crap. Middle aged women, fiscally middle-to-upper class (not exclusively mind you) probably wouldn't have to live off beans and rice for a week if they dropped $80 on a copy of WiiFit, if you get what I'm saying. I love Ellen, but I wish she would spread the love a little more evenly. I'm also jealous, as I previously stated.

Ellen always gives away the gifts she gives her audience online as well. All you have to do is sign up the day of the give-away at ellendegeneres.com for the drawing (which often is given out to more than one person).
As far as giving out evenly...do you watch the show? She's given much more than the price of a WiiFit to many people of need in New Orleans and many other places for a long, long time.
I swear I don't work for her, I just admire the woman greatly. She seeks out the good in others which is something you don't see much in the world.

I don't generally get to catch her show (job time), I just got a clip of her giving out stuff.
It's good to see that she has found a better method of distributing prises than Oprah. I hate the idea that the least fortunate would miss out.
Ok, sure, I like Ellen and all, but does this really help make the "Wii shortage" look like it's not done on purpose? How does she get a whole pallet of Wii's and Wii Fit to give for free, but everyone else is assed out?
