Guitar Hero III Record Broken

dragonforce_-_10-11-2006_-_logo.jpg

You know, I am fully aware that there are kids out there who can kick my ass at any videogame. I don't need official reminders. The first time I encountered Dragonforce's "Through The Fire And Flames" during the end credits of Guitar Hero III, I thought to myself, "This has to be a joke, right? No human being could possibly play this for real. It's not possible!" Well, we all know it's possible, and those damn Guitar Hero prodigies out there love to let us know that. Back in March, the foxy TexCub let us know that Chris Chike set the Guinness World Record for highest GHIII score on a single song by scoring 840,647 points with a 97% accuracy. Well, according to the press release I got, his score was 880,920, but honestly, that doesn't really matter, since 13-year-old Daniel Johnson from Grapevine, TX, played himself a round of "Through The Fire And Flames" on Expert, and on his first try scored a whopping 890,971. So he wins.

When asked what he thought about breaking the world record, Daniel said, "I'm glad that I had the opportunity to break the record and help people learn about Education is Freedom."

Wha huh? Education is Freedom? Yeah, see, he set the record at the Guitar Hero 24-Hour Marathon, which was an event beneiting the non-profit organization Education Is Freedom, which is dedicated to increasing the educational achievement of children in Dallas. So his completely-natural-and-not-written-for-a-press-release quote makes sense now.

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
