Habbo's Virtual Videogame Survey

Okay, this one's just a little weird. Apparently, Habbo, the "world's largest virtual world for teenagers" conducted its second "Global Youth Survey" and discovered that the PlayStation 3 is the console of choice for teens today. 58,486 teens between the ages of 11 and 18 took part in the survey, and 69% referred to the PS3 as "great" or "good." For the Wii, 64% rated it that high, and 58% rated the Xbox 360 at that level.
"The results of this survey are interesting as it gives us an insight into which brands these teens aspire to as the level of ownership does not correspond to the consoles' popularity," explains Emmi Kuusikko, Director of User and Market Insight at Sulake. "By order of ownership, the Wii leads, followed by the Xbox 360 and PS3."
See, that's the thing. According to the survey, 24% own a Wii, 23% own a 360, and 21% own a PS3. So as far as ownership, the PS3 is third, even though the kids who don't own one think it's "great" or "good" and maybe want one. So even though the PS3 is the "popular" choice, it's not the best-selling console. So kids want one, but don't own one yet. The question is, will they? Will the PS3 live up to its potential?
Oh, and they also apparently discovered that boys prefer Sony's console while girls prefer the Wii. That's a big "duh" for that one right there. And remember, this was a survey conducted in a virtual community, so I would suggest taking it with a few extra grains of salt.
