More Brilliant Ideas To Sell The PlayStation 3

It's a home entertainment system: BlueRay player, digital media device for audio, video, images, and internet content. Oh, and it occasionally plays games.
So, in the next wave of "big ideas," Sony Online Entertainment President John Smedley sheds new light in what will make you finally break down and invest in the console.
I think MMOs are going to be a real strong selling point for the PS3 long term -- there's going to be some great ones on the PS3.
And now, let us re-jazz that statement to reflect a modicum of consumer insight:
I thinkMMOsinnovative, original games are going to be a real strong selling point for the PS3 long term -- there's going to be some great ones on the PS3.
Mind you, there are plenty of fantastic looking titles coming soon for the PlayStation 3, and there have been a few goodies that have shipped to date, but are MMORPGs really going to do much for the system?
Home reeks of mild novelty, at best, and without some amazingly groundbreaking content, the likes of World of Warcraft, it seems far fetched that a MMO will sell you on adopting another home console. What's your take? Still feeling scorned over Everquest Adventures on the PS2, or the prolonged death of Phantasy Star Online?
Perhaps that should be Sony Online's sales promise: A MMO that you'll not only want to continue playing, but one the company will perpetually support.

I'm just guessing, but I'd imagine the DC Online MMO they're working on might see its fair share of interest.
