Oh Snap! Lucasarts Leaves The ESA Too.

You may recall a few weeks back when Activision and Vivendi left the Entertainment Software Association. Well, it turns out they weren't the only ones. Shortly afterwards those with sharp eyes noticed another name conspicuously missing from the list of ESA members.
From Gamepolitics:
Since that time, both LucasArts and the ESA went into radio silence - until late this afternoon, Friday afternoons being the preferred time for announcing bad news.We should note that no fewer than five LucasArts PR reps failed to return our phone calls, e-mails and IM's on this topic. The ESA also chose not to respond. Notice that nobody was denying the rumor. Obviously there was a good reason for that.
So that makes three major developers now leaving the ESA, although Lucasarts says it will still attend E3. No mention however as to WHY they left. Do they feel they are big enough to not need the representation? Is someone at the ESA driving these companies out? Or is this simply a case of companies abandoning a sinking ship? My gut tells me that whatever the reason, these won't be the last people leaving the ESA unless E3 is a major success this year.
