Video: Alone In The Dark Trifecta
Atari's Alone In The Dark is due out in June, but there's a part of me that really wishes they'd wait until the fall. With a chill in the air, dead leaves falling and Halloween coming, it would be the perfect time to immerse yourself in what's looking to be a solid horror title. Granted, this newest trailer has a few echoes of Silent Hill, but hey I happen to be a huge fan of Silent Hill, so go ahead and remind me of it. (As long as you don't pale in comparison!)
After the jump, I've got a couple more videos with some brief gameplay footage. The first is a harrowing sequence that sees Edward Carnby clinging to the side of a building. Good angles, and an impressive cinematic score that's less Silent Hill-y than the trailer. On the other hand, the second video is a driving sequence set in a parking garage that has me concerned. A driving game in my survival horror? I'll reserve judgment until I play it and see how much driving there really is and how well the vehicles control, but I can confidently declare right now, that the voice acting of that backseat driver will bug!

Looks like a Bastard child Between prince of persia and the incestuous child of Silent hill and Resident Evil (wich Silent hill is very ashamed of)....
They called it Alone in the Dark by Atari
I totally agree with you Morrigan, it has the atmosphere of a Silent Hill game, but it seems to be more action oriented => Resident Evil. Also that part where he is clinging to that building totally screams "Prince of Persia". I've never played another Alone in the Dark game before, but this one looks really interesting. The only problem that I see with this is that is looks very scripted, so it may be fun to play it only the first time... We'll se when it comes out.
do we actually get to be a 40 year old?
how cools that?
now if Atari can improve DBZ(did i hear something about an action adventure version) and get back on track with original games
ill be there with me cash.
