Video: Guitar Hero: World Tour Trailer
Well, I still think there's something slightly wrong about a game calling itself Guitar Hero, and yet aping Rock Band. At least they didn't try to release separate games called Drum Hero and Microphone Hero. But here's the world premiere trailer for the upcoming Guitar Hero: World Tour. It doesn't really do much except show you a bunch of tools jamming to "Are You Gonna Go My Way" while a few factoids flash across the screen. I'll give 'em that the drums are more realistic than the ones in Rock Band, simply because the cymbals are separated (if oddly pie-shaped). But I'm still leery of the whole "create your own song" thing. It's either going to be totally awesome and some great music is going to be produced, or it's going to be so limiting that it'll be a waste of time. I guess we'll all find out in the fall. Personally, they're going to have to come up with one crazy-awesome game to make me spend another fortune to play this after spending all that money on Rock Band...
