Video: Metal Gear Solid Digital Graphic Novel 2 Preview
Grossly overlooked during the summer of 2006, the original Metal Gear Solid - Digital Graphic Novel treaded fresh territory as an experimental hybridization of comic book sensibilities with animation and sound produced specifically for the PlayStation Portable. The merger of IDW Publishing's hyper-talented Ashley Wood (Tank Girl: The Gifting, D'Airain, Zombies vs. Robots, Zombies vs. Robots vs. Amazons) with Hideo Kojima's content had already rocked the comic market, and the high production values with the layer of interactivity promoted by the digital format took fans into an altogether unexplored territory.
Knowing how much of a good thing the original was, and to attach to the pomp circulating around the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 4, Konami has granted a continuation of the experiment by creating a digital interpretation of Ashley Wood's Metal Gear Solid 2 comic series.
Although a ship date has not been assigned, you can probably anticipate seeing it in stores sometime over the summer months.
