Videogame Deals - $10 Gift Card Edition

As they do every week, the fine folks at Cheap Ass Gamer have rounded up this week's best deals for you, according to the Sunday newspaper ads. There are no mega-bargains on the list, but it looks like this week's theme is "pushing you off the fence." If you needed just a little bit of an incentive for any of the games below, maybe this is the week to commit.
Best Buy has the Wii version of Okami for $29.99, $10 off the regular price of $39.99. If IGN Watermark-gate hasn't turned you off the game, you might want to give it a chance.
Target has the new Wii puzzler Boom Blox for the regular price of $49.99, but it includes a $10 gift card. That's like three boxes of cookies, or a pack of underwear!
Circuit City also has Boom Blox with a $10 gift card, and is additionally handing out cards with Wednesday's release of Haze for the PS3. Sadly, Circuit City does not sell underwear, so you'll have to spend that bonus money on something that doesn't cover your junk.
I was just telling a friend that I thought I wanted about $10 knocked off the price of Boom Blox before I took the plunge, and seeing that gift card offer makes me think maybe I should have said $20. As for Haze, I'm waiting for reviews - the demo didn't knock my socks off, but I'm itching for a decent shooter. Right now I'm thinking it's a rent versus buy, but if it starts pulling in good remarks I may change my mind.

On seeing the Target 10$ gift card offer I headed to my local Target. Picked up the game - and also used a $5 off a $25+ "toy" Target coupon that I happened to print a few weeks ago. Additionally, I used a 10% off discount card I got from Target Visa - basically scoring the game for around $33. Not bad.
Boom Blocks is a fantastic game. Really easy to pick up, predictable (read: not random) physics, cute art, well thought out puzzles. It's worth it's price at $50. $40 is a steal.
