Will James Patterson's Games Be Best Sellers, Too?

In an exclusive interview with Next Generation, best-selling author James Patterson discusses his tentative steps into the world of videogames. As the owner of a Nintendo Wii, Patterson appears to be a fan of the more casual games as opposed to the hardcore, and believes that casual games will make the gaming world explode as they become more and more popular.
His first title was an online game based on the TV series based on his book series Women's Murder Club. Although he also mentions another book series called The Dangerous Days Of Daniel X which is about a kid who's an alien hunter on Earth, and while he admits he doesn't know what they're doing with it yet, that certainly sounds more appropriate for a videogame.
"There's all sorts of content for games," said Patterson. "To me, games are most interesting as they break the rules. The casual games business is just starting to open up. I'm not big on imitations. I like it when it's fresh and wide. It's a blank screen, man, you can put anything on it."
Although, honestly, I wouldn't mind if he felt like writing interactive murder mysteries. Especially for the Wii, whose remote is made for point-and-click adventure games. I eat those things up with a spoon. Well, except for the ones based off TV series like Women's Murder Club. Them, not so much. Any fans out there with better suggestions?
James Patterson Enters The Game Space [Next Generation]

I suggest he stop writing crap and keep his hands out of videogames entirely.
I purchased his Womens Murder Club game and I LOVE IT!!!! It was challeging...you actually are helping solve the murders by finding clues and testing lab samples. I hope he develops more games like it (hidden objects murder mysteries). Does anybody know when his next game is coming out?
By the way NeonMadman....you sound like a boring simple person that couldn't appreciate a good game when it hits you in the face.
