Video: Atlus Wants To Destroy Your Friendships With Dokapon Kingdom
Okay, I saw the trailer for Atlus' new game Dokapon Kingdom online, and immediately had to go look up what this game was all about. Because surprise surprise, it's not a strategy RPG! No, its a board game RPG! The bees are in the what, now? Yeah, you heard me right. The king of Dokapon offers you his throne in exchange for fending off a horde of invading monsters, but you're not the only one he's asked, and you must compete with your rivals to win the crown... and the hand of Princess Penny (who totally looks like a distant cousin of Princess Peach... but then again, I guess they all look alike after a while).
The game will be released for the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Wii on October 14, but I couldn't find any info yet on the possibility of taking the multiplayer online with the Wii. Here's hoping! I've gotta say, the idea of combining a board game with RPG elements has me more than a little intrigued. And the promises of destroying friendships is always a draw. Love when the press release warns: "Relationship counseling not included." Heh. Playing dirty can be tons of fun! And hey, Atlus promises that "after your friendships are broken, the game is just as much fun to play alone." So you can't lose! And come on the game looks just too cute for words. Who's with me?

Hmm...anyone else thinking "My Sims in rpg land"?
Hmmm...looks interesting. Hopefully it's fun :D
