Capcom Confirms Simultaneous RE5 Release

A few days back, rumors started rumbling that Microsoft was offering Capcom piles of money to turn Resident Evil 5 into a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360. Capcom's VP of Strategic Planning & Business Development Christian 'Sven' Svensson quickly stepped in to quell the panic.
The assertion is false. RE5 is a multiplatform release that fits with our oft-stated crossplatform strategy. ... For the avoidance of doubt... simultaneous release.
Sven doesn't clarify exactly which assertion is false - the exclusivity or Microsoft's offer - but losing Resident Evil, even for a few months, would have been a big blow to Sony. I suppose something could happen in the months before the game sees release, but for now frothing fanboys can breathe a sigh of relief.
PS3 owners have had some reason to nervous about Capcom's relationship with their machine this generation, with big titles like Lost Planet and Dead Rising premiering on or remaining exclusive to the Xbox 360, as well as the Monster Hunter franchise moving from Sony hardware to the Wii. For now though, it looks like Capcom is committed to getting the game out on both platforms on the same day, just like they managed to do with Devil May Cry 4 earlier this year.
Any word on if this is true or not? [Capcom Unity Forums]

Hope they announce it for PC since I don't have either console.
Look at those arms! grrrrr!
I'm relieved they're going to release it on PS3. I'm going to get whatever console it ends up being on because this is THE game for me, but I was hoping to have it on PS3 since I plan to buy MGS4 at a dropped price next spring. Anway, good news all around.
Not really relevant, but THANK YOU, Capcom, for Chris Redfield and his pecs. Now that is my perfect man right there.
Holy Jill Sandwich batman, are those 21" biceps Chris is sporting? Damn I never thought Id be excited about a video game guy!
his muscles are as big as his head :/
