Don't Expect Starcraft 2 This Year

Hmm, what was I just saying about Blizzard and their release schedule?
Amid all the Diablo 3 pandemonium, the company still has stuff to say about their other games, including their other hotly anticipated game, Starcraft 2. On the subject of the recently rumored release date of December 3, Executive Vice President Rob Pardo stomped on any holiday dreams and denied the date, saying that the company is about 1/3 of the way through the campaign, with the focus shifting to story structure and cinematics right now. He also promised the company should deliver something special by the end of the year. Not quite "game box on store shelves" special, but at least it's something.
Pardo also confirmed that Mac gamers should expect a simultaneous release for Starcraft 2, just like most Blizzard games. For the curious, the same thing was confirmed for Diablo 3 in the game's official FAQ.
