Jeb Havens Wins The Best Upcoming Gay Gaming Industry Professional Award

The votes are in for our tie in with Logo on their NewNowNext Awards. As you probably know, we were collecting votes for the category of "The Best Upcoming Gay Gaming Industry Professional" which is probably the longest name of an award ever presented. We got a ton of votes and the results were very close, but in the end our big winner was... Jeb Havens! Jeb has worked on Puzzle Quest, Playboy the Mansion and is currently working on SPORE over at EA. Congratulations, Jeb!
A big thanks goes out to our other two nominees, Kyle Gabler and Brian Sharp. All three of these guys were great sports to be part of this award and it took a lot of balls to put themselves out there and be "out" in an industry that isn't always kind to gay people. I am proud that GayGamer was able to be a part of this and I hope we will be able to do more things like this in the future.

big surprise he won...(!)
he's working on one of the most anticipated games.
and to add a shallow note:
he sure is one smoking dude.
1 + 1 = woof
How many votes were there?
*If* I remember correctly, he was also the one who was actively working to support diversity in the industry, hosting LGBT roundtables and such. All of the contenders had nice resumes--but that level of community involvement is why I felt he was the best candidate for the LOGO award.
The fact that I *also* found him the most delectable among three nice looking chaps had nothing to do with it :)

He has an AWESOME NAME.
Was kind of weirded out to see my first name in a headline. LOL.
Congrats to Jeb!!! LOL I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Havens one summer... looks like he's come a long way from singing N'Sync and Backstreet Boys in florissant nylon outfits!! LOL...He bangs, he bangs! Congrats again!
