Mega Man 9 Secretly Confirmed

Image of Capcom's Australian registration for Mega Man 9.

Capcom's revival of their gaming heritage continues! Not content to just create Street Fighter IV, Bionic Commando: Rearmed and Commando 3, Capcom, through this registration via the OFLC (Office of Film and Literature Classification, think of it as Australia's ESRB), has staked their claim toward bringing back the original Blue Bomber.

No other information is currently available, aside from what can be gathered through this tag stating that Mega Man 9 will be available as a multi-console release, prospectively through the Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network or WiiWare.

I don't know about you, but I'm excited to see what Capcom comes up with. Though the Mega Man series has languished on through rehash after rehash, Keiji Inafune, the original series creator and my dream producer for Mega Man 9, has really been on a roll lately with his smash hits Dead Rising and Lost Planet.

Expect more answers to be revealed as E3 and TGS approaches.

I tried to post earlier, but I suppose my comment never went through. Anyway, this great news! I always wanted Keiji Inafune to make one more installment in he original series to wrap up everything for goo, and make even more obvious links to later events in the collective series. I hope it will be out by the end of next year!

Capcom just needed this time to come up with new terms to use for fire and ice themed robot masters. Seriously good news though can't wait to see what comes of it.

I hope they heavily focus on exploration, spectacular boss fights, upgrading weaponry and backtracking through levels to reach previously inaccessible areas. Playing super metroid for the first time has seriously reawakened my love for this genre.

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
