Metal Gear Solid Database Arrives For The Confused
With just about every article in connection with Metal Gear Solid 4 featuring a reserve of disconcerting phrases (Exclusive, Super-Limited, Special Edition), it is refreshing to for once see Sony and Konami rally behind the magical usage of the word free.
Arriving tomorrow on the PlayStation Network as a free download, the Metal Gear Database is a refresher for gamers that don't know their Wisemen's Committee from the La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo. Spanning the entire length of the series, the Metal Gear Database will contain descriptions of primary events from the Metal Gear universe, character sketches, profiles, and relationship diagrams. For those that have yet to complete Metal Gear Solid 4, the Metal Gear Database will dynamically redact material that you have yet to encounter. Neat!
Anything that makes a database (and the people that do database work daily, myself included) seem potentially "cool" earns a gold star in my book.
