Nintendo Suing Nyko Over Wireless Nunchuck
Nyko's excellent new product, the "Kama" wireless Nunchuck controller you see here, which rocks out a stellar idea and can seriously upgrade the Wiimote experience (I'm thinking along the lines of Samba De Amigo), has come under legal fire by Nintendo, and could possibly be pulled from stores.
Nintendo alleges that Nyko's product violates patents and trademarks held by Nintendo:
[The Kama] "wholly appropriates the novel shape, design, overall appearance and even the color and materials used in the Nintendo Nunchuk controller."
Nintendo demands money and the pulling of the product from stores, and I'm sure there are myriad legal niceties to be untangled here, but I can't help but pull a sad face - Nyko makes some great products, and the wireless Nunchuck is an especially welcome innovation. Boo.

Only reason I can see Nintendo being so anal about this is if they have a wireless Nunchuck coming out sometime in the near future. Otherwise, it seems slightly out of character for them.
Yeah, they must have a wireless nunchuck in the works.
Expect an entire wave of criticism of Nyko, because obviously Nintendo aren't M$$$$$$$$$$$soft [See what I did there, witty with the $ signs in Microsoft, feel the wit]
I'm thinking of "knew they'd incur the wrath", "They clearly stole it" etc etc.
Basically, the exact opposite of what they'd all say if it was Sony or MS.

Tricky one this, the dictionary definitions of 'hypocrisy' and 'defending' are somewhat different in the sense they are completely different and their meaning[s], both implied and explicit are often not exactly the same as each other, although in only 100% of cases is this accurate.
Do you see how this relates, because I see no connection between pointing out if Sony or MS did it they'd get slated, but the same people will defend Nintendo for doing the exact same thing.

Which is an entirely different, indefensible, deplorable and an idiotic stance on behalf of the cretins in charge of this stupidity at MS HQ.
