PS3 2.40 Firmware Update Feature Listed

As I'm sure many of you are aware, Sony has announced that the 2.40 firmware for the Playstation 3 is well under way. I personally am rather eager to see this, as the PS button menu in most games really leaves me scratching my head. I know that I am not alone in these feeling, and It only gets worse for people who play online titles with their friends.
Official word is that Sony will be releasing the firmware update in around three weeks (cough cough E3 cough) so we still have a little time to prepare ourselves for the awesomeness. To help tide us over, Sony released a list of what features will be accessible through the in-game XMB menu:
- Friend category
- View, send, receive messages
- Manage downloads
- Set the vibration feature of the controller
- Sign in to PlayStation Network
- Register friends
- Manage Bluetooth devices
- Terminate the game
- Music category
- Use the system BGM
- Work the system BGM operation panel
- Settings category
- Assign controllers
- View profiles
- Game category
- Set audio devices
- Use the voice changer
Additionally, there is the matter of trophies. They include 4 tiers: bronze, silver, gold and platinum. Platinum trophies are awarded by clearing all the trophies for a particular title. There is no gamer score, although apparently there is some weird leveling system. If the firmware asks me to go on a fedex quest I'm taking my PS3 back, that's all there is to it.

It's entirely speculation and rumors right now and should be labeled as much, not nice to get peoples hopes up.
Fair point Wolverine, though most of these seem like pretty safe bets. And even if half of them turn out to be true, I'm a happy camper.
