Rock Band Goes Japanese!

Rock Band is spreading it's wings and moving east! Harmonix has just announced that they will be partnering up with Q Entertainment (Rez, Lumines) to bring Rock Band to Japan. No word yet on any of the details, but we will be sure to bring them to you as they come in!

I just got the most hilarious image in my head. Cute little Japanese school girl, singing along cheerfully to "Enter Sandman", while three other schoolgirls accompany her on the the instruments.
Truly, this is the punishment that Lars Ulrick must endure in Hell for his whole anti-Napster campaign back in the 90s.
[Crosses fingers] Please let there be no region lock outs on the stand alone disk. I would love to pick up a disc of j-rock randomness.
They'll need to consider that Japanese homes/livings spaces are considerably smaller than their US counterparts, and to store a ginormous accessory like the drum kit is really asking a lot of the Japanese audience.
Turning Japanese, I think I'm turning Japanese, I really think so....
X-japan better be in it! Oh and EZO!
*shudders with excitement*
If it's going to be as chock full of J-Rock and J-Pop as I think it is, that disc is definitely going to be import fodder for me.
Yummy.
(Hopefully, they have an option for all kana lyrics display, or at least furigana display; I'm still a little lacking in the kanji department...)
