Rumorama: 360 Price Cut?

Well, Fruit Bruit listed a whole bunch of possible E3 announcement rumors earlier today, but I found a hardware rumor that might be a little more interesting, at least to those of you still undecided about Microsoft's console. Jesse Divnich, an expert analyst from the firm EEDAR, has apparently declared that Microsoft should be cutting the price of the Xbox 360 before or during next month's E3 event.
Divnich doesn't cite any specific sources, but says he's "very confident" that a price cut or possibly the introduction of a new model (Blu-Ray?) is coming. It probably wouldn't be a drastically lower price point, as the various models of Xbox 360s aren't that much more expensive than Wiis and PS3s right now. Still, a price drop might get some people to hop right off that fence. It's not so much the price of a PS3 that's kept me from buying it, but the lack of tons of games I desperately want to play that are only on that system. The 360 certainly isn't lacking for quality software would a price drop persuade any of you?

I don't think this is a rumor, just tonight on TV I saw a commercial for GTAIV and they said at the end that X-Boxes start at $279

I still think that the blu-ray idea is a bad idea, even a horrible joke, for everybody who already owns a 360 it's a horrible kick in the pants, and such a move would insure that I would never buy a microsoft console after it.
