Rumorama: New PS3 Gossip - Downloadable PS2 Games On PSN

Supposedly scheduled for a late-Summer launch, Sony's adoption of PlayStation 2 titles should be warmly welcomed. That is, of course, if this is a legitimate tip.
If new member NiTiZ of the News For Gamers forums is to be believed (and really, they shouldn't be), this snapshot smuggled by a Sony Computer Entertainment Europe employee features a PS2 channel that parallels most of the major titles seen local to the launch of the PlayStation 2: Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Fantavision, Red Faction, Ridge Racer V, Smuggler's Run, SSX, The Bouncer.
It's completely unknown how PlayStation 2 games would function given the, so far, reported lack of backward compatibility on the 40 GB model, but, with E3 looming in the distance, gamers can anticipate for Sony to address this leak soon.

I loved The Bouncer and would so DL that game. I thought it was great.
It'll probably say "Sucks to be you" to us 40 users.
I want to be excited about this but after what's happened with the PS1 offerings in the US, I have to admit that I'm skeptical that we'll be seeing anything really worth buying. I love the Japanese PSN store because of all the really great games they have up there (everything from huge hits like MGS1 and niche cult hits like Adventure of Little Ricky), but the US store's offerings are sorely lacking. Of the PS2 games listed above, a few of those titles are a good start, but crap like Fantavision shouldn't be resurfacing anywhere.
The big question for me is price point. I think that if ps2 games launch somewhere in the $10-$15 range it'll take off fairly well. If games are $20 and up I think they'll have wasted their time. Why spend $20 on MGS2 when gamestop sells it used for $5 alone or $35 for 1-3?
