Video: Spore Creature Creator Free Trial Out Now!
As many of you may (or may not) know, today is the official launch date for the Spore Creature Creator Free Trial. This is a small taste of the much larger Spore which will September 7th of this year. I can say that this game is by far more addictive than a day-time reality TV show covered in narcotics. Between PixelPoet, Fruit Brute and Myself more time has been invested in the last week creating creatures than it took to construct Rome. It is really that bad.
The Spore Creature Creator Free Trial contains the same features as the full version, only limited to 25% of the total parts. The full release will be made available through the EA Online Store tomorrow for $10 (USD).
Just a short list of things you can do:
- Create any number of creatures with fully mutable body parts (even down to the spine)
- Paint your creature using a wide selection of procedural textures with a wide palette of colors.
- Test drive your creatures, see how they move and react using a wide selection of emotion icons.
- Take photos and send them to your friends via e-mail.
- Take home videos of your creatures as you test drive them, and upload them directly to your YouTube account without ever having to leave the game.
- Share your creations online through the Sporepedia, and rate and comment on other players creations

So EA has released a demo... of a portion... of a full product. So weird.
I think such games would not come into the market because such games would leave wrong impreeesion over the minds of children.
@Ty...huh? Is that a tongue-in-cheek comment about a game about evolution?
I downloaded it and think it's fun. It's like digital Play-doh. I just hope the full release in September is as good as it's looked over the past few years.
