Square-Enix Announces Xbox 360 Line-Up

Infinite Undiscovery and The Last Remnant

Althought it was mentioned earlier today that Square Enix wil be releasing Star Ocean: The Last Hope on the Xbox 360, there are additional titles that will also be making their way to Microsoft's console soon. Included in this list are: Infinite Undiscovery and The Last Remnant.

INFINITE UNDISCOVERY is the newest fantasy RPG developed by tri-Ace Inc. for next-generation hardware. Players will be drawn into a real-time world woven of countless threads where their choices will spin untold discoveries. This title, combining the talents of both Square Enix and tri-Ace, will be an unforgettable experience.

Honestly, I'm a bit in the dark about what The Last Remnant is about, as details have have been a bit sketchy. Here is the description provided by the developers:

In ancient times, mysterious artifacts referred to as Remnants were discovered all over the world. People used these objects for their awesome powers--a choice that eventually began to cause a rift in the world's balance. Equality was replaced by those who ruled and those who were ruled over. War was inevitable. A thousand years later is when this story begins...

Infinite Undiscovery is set to ship on September 2nd for the United States, and September 11th for the UK and other PAL regions. The Last Remnant is set to launch sometime in winter 2008.

The line up feels like it's missing something. I can't be the only one that though they might see FF13 on this line up.

well this is specific to the 360...as far as I can tell FF 13 remains exclusive to the PS3.

Given FF's current state, the last 4 games have been very, very average those been FFX, X2 and XI and XII [I don't count the spin offs as games]

I'm quite glad they're moving away from the franchise somewhat.

Another case of the brand inflating quality, like Sonic games, remove the name and the games score 3/10 less than they do now.

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
