Super Mario Brothers Promotional Plunger?
Initially, the Super Mario Bros. promotional plunger seems like a plausible promotional gimmick, because the Brothers Mario are supposedly plumbers (and not lizard battling mushroom eaters). But, underneath the surface, this is essentially one big poop joke. Really, other than the occasionally clogged kitchen sink, what else is a plunger used for?
'Seems fitting when considering that this item was designed to endorse the poorly received Super Mario Brothers: The Movie. I wonder if Hollywood Pictures took this self-defeating prophecy into account when they manufactured the plungers for the film's premiere?

I remember back in the summer of '93. My dad gave me the choice of seeing Jurassic Park or Super Mario Bros. in the movie theatre. I chose Mario, and I still stand by that decision.
