The Spore "Galactic Edition"
What would a AAA title be these days without the addition of some sort of collector's edition. The kind of thing that leaves gamer's drooling over all the little extras they will be getting for the output of a few extra dollars.
Whilst perusing the GameStop website this morning in search of a price on something I saw an announcement for a Spore "Galactic Edition." The $70 package for PC will come with the game plus the following extras:
- 'Making of Spore' DVD video
- 'How to Build a Better Being' DVD video, by National Geographic Channel
- 'The Art of Spore' hardback mini-book
- Fold-out Spore poster
- Premium 100-page Galactic Handbook
I love me some Spore Creature Creator and if the full game is even half as cool I'm goign to love it. However, I don't know if I will spend the extra $30 for a poster and a book and a DVD. Seems a little steep somehow. Throw in a voucher for a 3D model of my custom creature and I'm sold.
