Wii All Play With EA

Nintendo's Wii has done a lot to bring videogaming into the mainstream, and EA has decided to take that one step further by rebranding a bunch of its sports titles as "All-Play" titles. The games included in the line are: NCAA Football 09 All-Play, Madden NFL 09 All-Play, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 All-Play, NBA Live 09 All-Play and FIFA Soccer 09 All-Play.
"The Wii platform and the Wii consumer are looking for a very unique sports experience," said Peter Moore, president of EA SPORTS. "We're excited to take five of our most popular franchises and develop them from the ground up exclusively for the Wii, with unique controls, unique presentation, unique modes and even unique packaging. Whether you're an EA SPORTS veteran or a rookie gamer, EA SPORTS All-Play levels the playing field and delivers a fresh new gaming experience."
The games will include new Wii-exclusive features like a new 5-on-5 mode in Madden complete with big head characters, and the use of Miis in FIFA. I've never been a big fan of sports games, mostly because I don't follow the sports and would be overwhelmed by the stats and such. So I can kind of see how more casual modes would make EA's sports lineup a little less intimidating to casual players like myself. Just as long as they keep the main game unchanged for the hardcore fans!
