WiiFit: Making Nintendo's Wallet Fat

I don't know about the rest of you, but I wasn't terribly excited about getting WiiFit on release day. I figured I would hold off a bit, wait to see if anything else I wanted would show up and then go snag a copy. This was not the best decision I could have made, because now finding a copy of WiiFit has become somewhat of an effort in futility.
This is a country wide dilemma. Turns out that Nintendo simply did not produce enough. So, knowing that this might be a problem why didn't Nintendo produce enough for everyone? The answer is because they could get more money by shipping stock somewhere else. According to Pachter:
"The shortage demonstrates one consequence of the weak dollar. We're seeing companies ignore their largest market simply because they can make a greater profit elsewhere," Pachter said."They know that Americans will be just as fat a few months from now"
I'm not going to say this comes as a shock, nor will I say that I blame Nintendo. Our economy is going to crap and when there is money to be made in a foreign market you know they will jump on the chance. I guess I'm just going to have to wait to get my fit on.

Asterick, I think you just convinced even the most news-ignorant vidiots of the world to suddenly give a damn about the economy.
