Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia Gets Japanee Street Date
Ever since the release of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, I've had an unnatural addiction to all things 2D and Belmont. I liked the titles prior to that just fine, but lets face it, none had the pure narcotic addictiveness of SotN.
Sadly, these titles have all gone to hand held, and it is unlikely that we will see a new major console release with 2D game play any time soon. At least Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia is on it's way, and it has officially been dated for Japan: October 23rd, 2008. Get those importing fingers at the ready, because the frankly, I don't think I want to wait for this one.

I never got the chance to play Symphony of the Night, but I absolutely loved Dawn of Sorrow. I'm very eager to pick this one up.
Hopefully it's better than POR which sucked ass.
Let's just hope that the time between releases is short. If my memory serve me right, PoR was released in the states a few weeks after the JP release.
It's sad to say, but it doesn't matter how bad the game is I know I'm still going to buy it at first chance.
I love the new art style, but I'm just so tired of the same old Castlevania gameplay. It's like they've released the same game now 4 or 5 times over. And it doesn't look like that's changing with this release, so I'll probably pass.
i know what you mean... but still, it´s like returning to an old dear friend (who did a facelift :) so i will play this one too and i know i will have a great time!
the same with mario, zelda and all other established franchises
would buy the japanese version too, however, I guess I would not be able to link it via the us version of "judgment".
howwever, as long as it is at least a bit like POR it will be a great one. if it is like AOS or DOS, well... it will suck! getting into the same rooms over and over again, just to gain a certain soul just failed so much >.
