Dead Rising Coming To Nintendo Wii?! FANTASTIC!

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this, other than it's a rather bold and slightly odd move by Capcom. Dead Rising is coming to the Nintendo Wii. This is not a weird side story, or motion capture hack job. They are doing a full fledged port.
Driven by the successful sales of Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, Capcom decided that this game is marketable to the Nintendo Wii fan base. As an owner of both the original game and a Wii, I'm interested to see how this will play out.
They state that they are going to try to match the original game as possible visually, although it is fairly obvious they are going to have to strip it down a tad to make up for the technology gap. There will be updated waggle driven attacks and the game will be played using the nunchuck. The game will also feature new weapons as well as a new boss. No release date has been announced.
Lets all just hope that they make Otis-speak readable on standard def televisions.

Amazing! Now I have one less reason to steal my boyfriend's 360!
Yes! I actually thought of getting an Xbox 360 for this title! :)
I know it probably won't be the same experience, but zombie games are fun, and as long as everything is there, I can let the graphics slide. I wish I could also use the GameCube remotes, those wii motes are expensive, (you know for multiplayer).
Great for the Wii owners, but I was really hoping for a pc version as well.
and at least they don't have to worry about text being too small for SD tv's.
Sweet! I own it for 360 but don't have a 360... :( it was cheap and I Love Zombies :)
Umm...yeah. I think I'll stick with my 360 version, thanks.
Yeah no, I'd just settle for "hoping that they make Otis less of a Chatty-Sally asshole who won't ruin the game for everyone on another console".
And oh yeah, if I wasn't real and made of polygons instead, I'd definitely finger Frank West.
Also, why don't they do a PC port? It's not like a moderately powerful PC couldn't handle the game and Capcom has done PC versions of ALL of their games lately, so that makes no sense to me.
A neat game, but really overrated.
