E3 2008: Wii + Wireless Keyboard = WiiBoard?

Back back in the day (when I was walking up hill both ways in the snow to get to gamestop) Nintendo released a firmware update to support wireless keyboards natively through firmware. Nothing more was heard about this... Until now!
Logitech unveiled their officially licensed wireless Nintendo Wii keyboard. It features a few buttons for working with the internet channel like zooming and panning and such. No official announcements on it's release date, but it will retail for a MSRP of $49.99. Logitech also a racing wheel for the system, although no pricing has been revealed.
Is it just me, or does that keyboard look like it was designed by the abandoned engineers of the WebTV? Remember kids, Potatomoto loves you.

Wow. $50 to make it a little easier to use the internet channel that I don't think many people use. Resourceful :-)
If this is what it takes to convince Sega to re-release Typing of the Dead, then so be it!
This is exactly what I wanted for Animal Crossing! It will definitely make writing letters to townsfolk/friends easier.
Sweet! That would be awesome if Sega would re-release typing of the dead for Wii. It will definitely make typing messages easier.
Does anyone know if wired USB keyboards work with the Wii? Because that looks extremely similar to a Logitech USB keyboard they branded for use with the PS2. If you can find one of those, I think they're like $10. It also works with the Xbox 360, so it's kind of neat if you really need something to make typing out your messages easier.
Also, $50 is probably 2 times, or at least $20 more than what something like that should really be priced.
I'm using an earlier wireless (but still USB with a dongle) Logitech keyboard I got from a clearance bin, and it works fine. I can't remember whether any of the buttons would do things like zoom in and out.
Supposedly, any USB keyboard that's HID-compliant should work with the Wii.
