Gran Turismo 5: Prologue Update Tomorrow
As many of you know, Gran Turismo 5 is not coming out for quite some time. Sad but true. As such, it makes me happy to know that Sony is going to continue to expand and improve on the less-than-full-price GT5: Prologue. In fact, an update is coming tomorrow!
The very heart of this update does not directly relate to the game itself, but rather the automotive related content hosted in the Gran Turismo TV option. Included in this update is the hit UK program "Top Gear", as well as the Japanese automotive "Best Motoring". Having watched more than my fair share of "Top Gear", these little nuggets certainly help to justify the $40 I dropped on the title.
Additionally, the update will include numerous fixed to game play. Online play physics have been much improved, as well as a retooling of performance penalties when dealing with collisions.
Personally, I'm still waiting for real time deformable vehicles and realistic crashes. Lets face it, no BMW should be able to it a steel girder at 200km/h and be able to drive off without so much as chipped paint. Fat chance, I know.
