Horror Adventure 'Theresia' Coming To US
While I was unable to attend myself, there was a surprising announcement made at the Anime Expo in Los Angeles this weekend. Developer Aksys gave mention at the Guilty (Gear) Pleasure panel that one of their new games will be receiving a US localization. Theresia is a horror adventure title developed by Workjam and Arc System Works.
Theresia is a adventure game following a female protagonist who's adventure takes place in a large house. The adventure is played in a first person perspective, similar to Hotel Dusk or Shadow Gate. The game progresses by avoiding traps, collecting clues and opening doors.
The central theme of the game appears to follow the main character and her interesting relationship with her family. A marketing director at Aksys states that she "loves her mom... a lot". I guess this means we'll be fighting with some incestuous overtones during the title? It will be interesting to see if Nintendo lets that one slide once the game is heading out the door.
