Just In: Nintendo Introduces MotionPlus - WiiMote Gets More WiiMotey

Nintendo just announced their latest Wiimote accessory the MotionPlus. The MotionPlus is a small, white box which fits snugly at the base of your Wiimote. What does it do? It makes it more... Wiimotish. This device promises to increase the motion capture capabilities of the controller.
The Wii MotionPlus accessory attaches to the end of the Wii Remote and, combined with the accelerometer and the sensor bar, allows for more comprehensive tracking of a player's arm position and orientation, providing players with an unmatched level of precision and immersion. Every slight movement players make with their wrist or arm is rendered identically in real time on the screen, providing a true 1:1 response in their game play.
Perhaps it's a tri-axis gyroscopic sensor, or perhaps it is just a series of higher resolution sensors? All I know is if it prevents future problems the wonky zapper calibration problems with House of the Dead 2&3, or the slight jitter issues with the marble game in Twilight Princess, I'm going to be first in line for one of these suckers.
Nintendo promises to release more information about this product, how it will be used and what games will use it tomorrow at E3, so stay tuned for more coverage from our on the scene correspondents Fruit Brute and Tiny Dancer.

I can't believe Nintendo is making remotes even more expensive!
I'm happy I think we need an update, but I want to spend my $ on games, this better be cheap.
This, is awesome! I love the game play of the wii so much i don't mind paying more for an attachment that will improve upon amazing wii-mote function.
Fuck yeah! More money to get the product to do what it was supposed to do in the first place!
This looks like just one more example of Nintendo coming out with a slight upgrade to get people to buy more crap. If any game actually requires this thing to play, I'll be pissed.
