Korg-10 Amazon.com Exclusive (In Japan)
I know for a fact that they said that Korg-10 was getting an international release, so this article is really for importers. It was recently announced that Korg-10 will be released in Japan exclusively on Amazon.com. Why is this important to me? I'm impatient.
Many of you may be unaware that Amazon.com's Japanese division is pretty exclusive when it comes to where they let their purchases come from. That means that no one except Japanese residents will be able to order this title on release day. This also means that in order to receive a copy of the game in a resonable time frame, importers must go through a proxy like NCSX if they wish to have the game before it's international release date.
I'm not going to say this is a travesty or anything like that, but it does make me sad that I'm going to have to wait that much longer to get a copy of this little gadget.

Really? You really want to get this? I mean, this software is more specialised than a steam-punk srpg. I've used these kinds of hardware synths in real life, and they're… full-featured, to say the least. From what I've seen of this, it's pretty hardcore. And I mean hardcore in the music hardware geek sense.
Essentially, it's a software version of http://korg.com/gear/info.asp?a_prod_no=MS2000&category_id=1
It's software to recreate a pretty hardcore hardware synth, and if you aren't used to using hardware synths, I'd advise not buying this one. Now, if you're a video game journalist and can write it off your taxes…
@hyppoltus: I want this and will likely import it. Just watching the last week's segment on the 1up that featured this, I could easy see myself wasting a whole bunch of time just paying around with it. Yes, it's a completely niche product, but that doesn't mean that *no one* would want one.
I have wanted one for ages. My girlfriend is so awesome she ordered me one from play asia.

There is always a way, and there are a lot of people who would want this product.
Sorry, I got off topic. I saw the segment on 1up as well, and you know what I noticed, the hardcore music enthusiasts listened as the guy who creates the music for the 1up show (and probably has some previous experience with hardware synths) and one of the developers made music with it.
I've used these hardware synths before, there are millions of possible sounds, and deciding which palette you want to have is a somewhat difficult process, especially if there's a particular sound you want to create, then sequencing the sounds you've selected into a piece of music is another aspect of the music process.
Oh, and there's no save option, but, if you're getting this, you probably have a mixing board that you can jack this into to record what you make anyway, I guess.
