No Go On The Trophies: Infinity Ward, Insomniac and 2K Games Not Patching Games
Hopefully, most of you downloaded the 2.40 PS3 patch before Sony took it down for repairs. I know I sure did! Anyway, I've been unfortunate enough to not really be able to enjoy the trophy system just yet, and it is looking like adding new trophies to old games is low on the priority list for a number of game studios.
Infinitiy Ward and and 2K have both stated out right that they will not be adding trophy support for their back logged titles; Call of Duty 4 and Civilization Revolution respectively. Insomniac went on record with their major titles as well:
currently, there are no plans to add trophies to [Resistance 1] and [Ratchet & Clank: Future Tools]. Right now, our No. 1 focus is finishing [Resistance 2] and making it the best game possible.
So those of you chomping at the bit to get your platinum trophy for those titles will just have to move along, because it isn't happenin'.

yeah...that kinda sucks. I've been looking at all of my games and waiting for an update that adds in at least one trophy. =[
actually, im not really all that happy about the trophy junk. its this kind of value based competitiveness that draws in all the racist, homophobic neanderthals on Xbox Live. i prefer my games with a little something less testosterone based to inspire them. and i prefer playing with people who arent all gung ho to prove something by nabbing trophies to show off.
While it's not a shock that neither Infinity Ward or 2k are going back to patch their stuff, but I'm a little surprised that the Insomniac games are not getting the treatment. It's not the end of the world, but still kinda sucks.

I think thats a really lousy attitude from dev's to be honest. So basically we have a trophy system thats just sitting there. am not going to buy a PSN game that supports them just to get them. kinda sucks.
