No Trophies For 1942, Nor Bionic Commando: Rearmed.

Not a trophy

Sorry folks, you heard me, no trophies for 1942 nor Bionic Commando: Rearmed. This latest feature of the 2.4x Playstation 3 firmware is slowly seeming to be somewhat of a bust, developers are just not supporting it! I'm sure it will get better as time progresses, but as it stands if you're an achievement whore, you might as well stick with the 360.

It was also announced that BC:R will also include some PSN "exclusive" stuff. These features include Dual Shock 3 support, remote play and metals. Metals correspond to 360 like achievements, but they are not trophies... and I'm pretty sure they are going to make the the 360 support rumble. Why those features are "exclusive" is beyond me.

Hope is not all lost for trophies I suppose. In a statement from John Diamonon of Capcom:

Medals are the equivalent to achievements. Basically doing the same things in either version will open up these medals. We are currently reviewing how much work it would take to retro tag save/clear data for trophy support. Certainly though, if it does not require a huge amount of programming time (I.e. money) then we will probably move forward with it.

I guess we will just have to hope they add support and have the clear flags available. If not the game still looks incredible, and being able to remote in from my PSP is somewhat of an incentive for me.

Sorry, no trophies for 1942 or Bionic Commando [Update] [PS3 Fanboy]

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
