Rock Man Goes Literal: Game Is HARD
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm terrible at Megaman. My finite skill does not include 'while falling at neck break speeds, land between these two posts or die'. Usually these feats required something resembling spider-man like reaction time, or even clairvoyance that I do not possess. Lets face it, Hironobu Takeshita is masochistic when it comes to level design.
It is sorta a muffled question how faithful Mega Man 9 will be to the originals. Mega Man X was slightly nerfed as far as difficulty was concerned, let's not kid ourselves. Well, the designer either quelled or reaffirmed our fears, depending on your perspective.
Mega Man 9 is very hard. We didn't want to do Mega Man, but easy. We want players to get better, we want them to remember. I've always tried to challenge players, and I think there are gamers who miss being challenged by games.
It looks like this latest WiiWare installment is going to be just as abusive and controller destruction inducing as its predecessors. I'll be in the back, chemically suppressing the trauma that was Flashman.

Ohh, this sounds great. I've always been rather massochistic with MegaMan games. I refuse to use special weapons or vehicles unless there's no other way at all (like using Bubble-Lead against the final MM2 boss).
Nothing can be as rough as doing the QuickMan level WITHOUT Time-Stopper.
Yeah, I was always terrible at Mega-man games. It seemed like no matter how hard I tried and how long I played I never really improved; yet for some reason I still enjoy them. I really don't know how this game will do, because todays players are pretty spoiled. Now I have to admit that since my nes days in '87 I've also become just as lazy myself, but this game appeals to me in a nolstalgic way, I'm not sure if a gamer of today (who thinks the golden age of video games began with PS 2.0) is going to be interested in a game this chalenging.

I am ready and willing to have a challenging Megaman title. even on "Difficult" (the original difficulty of the game) Megaman 2 is a cakewalk for me. Megaman 8 was such a disappointment. I cannot wait for this.
The more I hear about this game, the more excited about it I get. Don't let us down, Takeshita!
