Rumorama: Chrono Trigger Coming To DS, Countdown Site Discovered
If your head hasn't already exploded from reading the headline, then read on! First, a scan surfaced from Japan's Jump magazine showing the Chrono Trigger title in reference to a DS game that would be coming to Japan this winter. Then, our own morrissey2k7 discovered this mysterious countdown site on Square Japan's website. (Be sure to check out the end of the url "/ctds". Chrono Trigger DS?) All signs seem to point to the imminent arrival of one of the most beloved RPG's of all time! This particular rumor has more weight than most but we are still calling it a rumor until we get solid confirmation from Square. We'll let you know as soon as any more information comes our way!

Hey FB, I got an update on this for ya!
First, Square-Enix has also put the countdown page on the North American version of their site: http://na.square-enix.com/ctds/
Second, RPGamer is reporting that the game has been confirmed for a December release in North America: http://www.rpgamer.com/news/Q3-2008/070208a.html
I am incredibly psyched about this. While this seems like an Advance-type port, it will be great having this since the Chronicles port was so buggy. Copies of the original game are incredibly hard to find.
I never played this so this will probably be a treat. Is this a 3D remake like FFIII and FFIV? If so, it will be even better especially with cutscenes and voiceovers.
