Sam & Max Season 2 Collectors DVD!

I love Sam & Max. They're definitely an acquired taste, but I think they're hilarious. I've got all the comics, and was thrilled when the DVD of their cartoon series came out so I could replace my old VHS copy that I'd taped off of the TV. Now, I'm a little perturbed that I don't have a PC, so I have been unable to enjoy their acclaimed adventure games, but my favorite crimefighting duo is coming to the Wii, so I'm willing to wait it out. But enough about me. On to the Sam & Max Season 2 Collectors DVD set that Telltale, Inc. is releasing. Like a season set DVD for a television series, this box will contain behind-the-scenes extras and tons of special features.
In addition to the five games from the episodic series, there's hours of extra video, some with audio commentary, outtakes, trailers, concept art, desktop wallpapers, the 20-minute holiday video feature Sam & Max Nearly Save Christmas and an MP3 soundtrack sampler. But you know what's really cool? Anyone who's already bought the game by downloading it directly from Telltale can snag themselves a copy of this awesome DVD simply by paying shipping and handling. Awesome! First-time customers will have to shell out $34.95.
The DVD is expected to start shipping in August, and Telltales online store is celebrating by offering up some new Sam & Max merchandise like a 2-CD sountrack of jazz music from the games, a case file of "evidence" and a poster that's also available signed. Cheese wizzorama, Sam, that's neat!

I had no idea the FIRST season was even out. Time to go grab another set to add to the pile!
