Siren: Blood Curse Crawls On To PSN Today

I've been anxious to try out Siren: Blood Curse ever since I downloaded the demo a while back. I'm a big fan of survival horror and a new one always piques my interest. For those of you who are interested in checking it out, I've dug a little information for you. First of all, lets start out with a little explanation of the game form the game's producer Tsubasa Inaba...
An American TV crew sets out on a journey to Japan in hopes of shooting a documentary piece about a mysterious village that supposedly disappeared under a mud slide 30 years ago. Upon arrival in this village, they immediately stumble across a disturbing ritual taking place. In the midst of the confusion and terror, a siren screams out. It's a spine chilling sound. Is it a warning to stay away? What is the meaning of it? Why do the inhabitants keep coming back to life? What is going on here? I would love to tell you more, but that's for you to find out...
As you probably already know, Siren: Blood Curse is going to be made available over the PSN network. It has a total of twelve episodes, a new one arriving each week. On their blog, Sony has revealed some info about the pricing and length of the game. It can be purchased in three packs of four chapters each for $14.99 or you can pre-purchase the whole game for $39.99. According to interviews with Inaba, each chapter will take about 1-2 hours to complete and the total hard drive space will be around 9 gigs. Sadly there is no trophy support as the game was made before trophies were instituted. There has been an on-disc version announced for Japan but not for North America as of yet.
Pros: Full length survival horror game for a budget price.
Cons: Takes up 9 gigs of space on your hard drive.
Is it going to be worth giving up all that hard drive space? We'll be taking a closer look at it here on GayGamer and we'll let you know as soon as we've played enough to make a judgment call on it.

Can we get a review pretty please, Brute?
I played Siren back on the ps2 and found it to be more than a little uneven. But it seems like they've patched/fixed a lot of the things that bothered me in terms of gameplay. I'm most interested in how well the splitscreen view works in practice.
You got my hopes up and then crushed them when I saw I could save money by preordering the entire thing but don't have that much right now :'( Oh and the 9gb hurts a little but it's not like you can't just re-download it ever...
This is why I swapped out my PS3 hard drive for a 320GB one. Space galore (and yes it really is easy)...
Been looking forward to this one. Lights off, sound up, let's get scared!
Noooooooooooooooo! I don't want to buy a PS3 but I really liked Siren on the PS2... Between this, Little Big Planet, and Beautiful Katamari I guess I am stuck...
Off topic question for Spazgadget:
Did you swap before or after downloading/buying content? I've got a 60 gig now, but thinking of upgrading to something bigger if it's easy enough. Just wondering how easy it is to transfer all the purchased stuff.
