Waiting For Strong Bad Is Strong Sad
Alas, while Telltale Games' inaugural Wii Ware title Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People was due out in July, eager fans may have noticed (as I did) that this was in fact the last week of July, and it was not on the list of Wii Ware releases this week. Unfortunately, there appears to be a minor delay, although Telltale Games insists that it's basically done, and they're just waiting on Nintendo.
"What IGN said is true - we have submitted the game to Nintendo, and as soon as we get approval from them, it will be released quickly after that. We really are in the home stretch. We've been waiting to announce a release date until we have that approval, though, because until that happens, well, anything can happen! Getting games into WiiWare is a new process for us and we're learning as we go, so I'm sorry if any of you are disappointed that tomorrow is the last Monday in July and you won't have a Strong Bad game to play. On the plus side, we're closer now than we've ever been, and very soon we should be able to tell you exactly when it's coming out!"
They also wanted to let us know that they only recently finished debugging the game so the rumors that Nintendo has been sitting on it for months are untrue. Personally, I've really been looking forward to this game, and I'm a little cheesed that Nintendo's the one holding it up. Developmental delays, I can forgive. But come on, Nintendo — I want my interactive adventure through Strong Badia!
