Weekly XBLA Update - 07/23/08
Two new games join us on XBLA today - 1942: Joint Strike sees the return of the popular '80s arcade series, replete with 3D HD graphics and 2 player local and online co-op. New weapons and new power ups and more infuse this 800 MP WWII shoot-em-up.
Also for 800 MP, with perhaps a little less personal history, is Go! Go! Break Study, which adds 2 man local and live multiplayer to the... break... dance... genre? Master button break dancing and then get whisked away to a ... ball-shooting minigame. 20 songs come included, but you might want to use a trial version of this game to see how you jive with its unique gameplay.
Today also heralds the beginning of a completely free multiplayer experience on Game for Windows LIVE, both for new games and for all existing Windows games that use Games for Windows LIVE - even cross-platform gameplay with existing Xbox 360 users will be free. There's also a new marketplace coming to Games for Windows LIVE this fall. Meanwhile, check out the free multiplayer goodness.
