WipEout Delayed... Because Of The Epilepsies!

Not but five days ago, I reported on an anonymous technical problem that was pushing back my beloved WipEout HD. My assertions turned out to be wrong, the game engine has nothing to do with performance being too low (network or video), in fact, the game is simply too fast. Thanks to the crazy fast motion and flash-tastic visual effects the game has failed epilepsy testing.
In fact, the game "fails the epilepsy tests so much that it has to be re-engineered". That, my friends, is what I like to call a fast 3d engine. Never in the history of video games so I recall a video game having to be retooled because of epilepsy problems. I've seen warnings slapped on games which, quite frankly, would probably kill someone with they condition if they were not heavily medicated. Anyone remember Legend of Oasis boss fights? Those things put the Pokemon "seisuremon" episode to shame.
No one knows when the re-engineering will be finished, let alone when the game will be released. Honestly, I can't imagine what their epilepsy testing facility looks like. Seriously, try to picture that for a second.

That's an interesting issue you don't see too often, but I'm glad that they're willing to work it out.
On a sidenote: I haven't thought about Legend of Oasis in years! I really wish I could get my hands on this one again. I may to go get Beyond Oasis on VC tonight. Good times!
Brings new meaning to the phrase "frothing demand for this game" doesn't it?
Any game that causes fits is ok in my book.
