Wootini's Weekly Wii Fit Update #9

Tah-dah!
That's right, bitches! I hit my goal ahead of schedule. It didn't even take me two full months to lose 15 pounds! I did it in about seven weeks! Of course, Wii Fit expressed concern that I was dropping weight too quickly to be totally healthy, but I felt fine throughout. This is what happens when you actually start doing some exercise and you stop eating so much garbage. In the interest of full disclosure, after reaching the goal of 168, I kind of bounced back up to 170 and change and I've been hovering around there for a bit.
But for the full story of my triumph, make the jump!
I was actually surprised that there was no fanfare upon reaching the goal that you set for yourself at the beginning of the game. I gave myself two months to lose 15 pounds, and I was thrilled when I saw that screen above telling me I'd reached my goal. But where are the fireworks? The cheers? Some kind of triumphant music? You get bupkis. And you'll like it. All I got was the screen you see where it tells me I've reached my goal, and then another screen where it says it was a little concerned that I was dropping weight so quickly and was worried about my health.
Immediately after reaching your goal, the game wants you to set a new one. A perfect BMI is 22, but that's a long way off for me (and a little inconceivable that I can weigh that little and actually be healthy). The game actually won't let you set a goal higher than 21 pounds, so I went with another 15 in two months. That won't be the ideal BMI, but it'll put me down in the normal range, which at this point, is all I really want. I just want that creepy voice to stop telling me I'm overweight every morning.
In other news, I was able to do 100 reps in the jackknife challenge, which is enough to get you the perfect four-star rating. Odd that it goes in groups of ten until you hit 50, and then the trainer won't quit on you until you hit 100. I also pushed myself really hard to break two miles in the 10 minute Free Run, but incredibly, that still wasn't enough to get me four stars. Crazy! Granted, it's not actually two miles you're running, but just to get that high, you've really got to sprint for the full 10 minutes. It's a heck of a workout, but it's annoying that it's not enough to get the four star rating. But I'm not giving up until I do!

Congratulations!! You must feel so light and bouncy now.
I thought your submissions had a lighter feel to them lately. :) Good for you!
Congrats man! Thats awesome. We saw you when you bought the Wii fit, now where are the 15 lbs later pics?
"I just want that creepy voice to stop telling me I'm overweight every morning."
Sorry, I'll stop doing that so often.
Congratulations!! I've read your updates every week... and noticed subtle changes. So gratz not just for losing 15lbs, but for changing the very way you think about food & your health. Keep on going dude!
Awesome, Wootini! Very cool! To hell with those people that say Wii Fit doesn't work =D
