Denis Dyack Speaks On Eternal Darkness IP.
I can easily say that Eternal Darkness is one of my single favorite Game Cube titles, plain and simple. It was innovative, had an intriguing story line and the whole insanity system genuinely freaked me out on numerous occasions, even though I knew exactly what could happen. It was a fantastic game. Now, many people (myself included) would like to know when we can see another one of these games.
The folks at Xbox 360 Fanboy recently interviewed Silicon Knight's Denis Dyack in reference to the ownership of the Eternal Darkness's IP. To date, no one is entirely sure who owns the rights to the game and the answer to your questions is... well, no one really knows:
It's a complicated question with a complicated answer and we're not answering that question.
I'm sure that essentially means it's stuck in limbo. Dyack did go so far as to say that they are still a "silent partner" the the decisions with the game, but the full breadth of their ownership is still undetermined. Come on people, hold hands and make a sequel already. Nintendo + Silicon Knights = BFFs forever!

I loved this game! it goes down as one of my top ten favorites ever...I almost crapped my pants when it told me it was deleting ALL of my saved data, turns out it was one of the insanity effects.
Pull back the veil of reality, I too was once a fool
good creepy fun! Would LOVE a sequel!
But don't you think that now you know what is to be expected, it's quite difficult to top all that?
