Eidos Announces Batman: Arkham Asylum

Although GameInformer let the cat out of the bag yesterday, Eidos has come forward and officially announced Batman: Arkham Asylum. Developed by Rocksteady Studios and written by Paul Dini (Justice League, Batman Beyond), this new Batman game will feature the Joker as the main villain. According to the GI report, other villains will also be present including Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, Penguin, The Riddler and Scarecrow. The storyline will focus on the events surrounding a plan hatched by Arkham Asylum residents to take Batman down. Eidos promises an interesting dark graphic style to the game and plenty of action. Batman: Arkham Asylum is set to be released globally for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC sometime in 2009.

What would be Paradise? If they dare to use Dave Mackean style in the graphics... Does anyone know the graphic novel written by Grant Morrison and illustrated by Dave McKean, "Arkham Asylum"? oh, yeah... :)
Great! Another Batman game for the AVGN to shit all over. Of course it will take him 20 years to do it since he reviews retro games.
I have a first printing hardcover edition of "Arkham Asylum", and am wondering if this game will be based on it in any way.
Sounds good, though, I'm glad someone besides EA is releasing a Batman game (LEGO Batman not withstanding).
Come on Poison Ivy...
Pics anyone?
