FCC Confirms PSP-3001 Redesign: Wildly Unspectacular
That's right folks, it's confirmed, the PSP-3001 model has been confirmed! Many of you are probably asking yourselves, "Asterick, what is new about this fantastic new PSP model"? My answer is a resounding nothing important.
The redesign appears to mostly be a cost reduction model, with some parts moved about and what have you. It could also be a new model with the Pandora Battery functionality stripped out (see: Sony hates piracy). Much as I stated before, the redesign does not appear to take into account the PS button, nor the new "mic". I still think those photos were of a replacement Chinese case.
I'm sure there will be more details released on this officially by Sony in the near future. The cat is out of the bag and all. If you want a PSP, your best bet is to just snag a slim.
