Heavy Rain... Of Screenshots!

heavyrain-two.jpg

The best way I can describe Heavy Rain is imagine the briefcase in Pulp Fiction. It pops up into the narrative every so often, everyone talks about how beautiful the stuff inside is, and then it disappears for awhile while the rest of us get on with the story. What the hell is in the briefcase? No one knows. That's more or less what is going on with this elusive title \ tech demo \ art project. I wish I could tell you more about it, but I really can't.

Quantic Dream has been smuggling photos for some time now, and every time they give us more all I can do is sit, scratch my head and hope that whatever it is, it is good. I loved the Indigo Prophecy. One of the single most bizarre concepts for a game ever, but fun none the less. Well worth the download for Xbox Originals users.

As impressive as these pics are, I would be more impressed if they took a picture of the complete script of the game sitting on a designer's desk. I love Indigo Prophecy and understand the development issues that occurred, but the ending to that game was so poorly constructed. Yeah, I know it was supposed to be a trilogy, whatever...I want a real ending this time.
