PS3 Wireless Keypad Announced

The Sony news just keeps on coming today! We now have confirmation that a wireless keypad for the PS3 will be available in North America late this November with Asia, Japan and Europe following shortly thereafter. The keypad will fit onto the PS3 controller much like the 360 counterpart except that it will attatch at the tp of the controller rather than the bottom. It will include Bluetooth technology, shortcut buttons for chatting and sending messages in-game and a Touch Pad Button that will turn the entire surface of the keypad into a touch pad for ease of use during web browsing.
With more and more PS3 games coming out that will make use of in-game chat, this peripheral will come in quite handy. I purchased this same peripheral for my 360 and I absolutely love it. The time it saves when messaging or chatting is invaluable. If you are someone who makes use of these functions on a regular basis will find this a must-have.

I dunno... I'm optimistic, but it looks like it would interfere with the shoulder buttons, to me. I think they should have done the Xbox thing and mount it between the "handles" of the controller, but that's just my two cents. Either way, I'm eagerly anticipating this product!
I like the idea. My Logitech BT keyboard works fine with YDL, but won't work with FFXI...so hopefully this one will. Placement doesn't seem to be too bad, and shouldn't get in the way of anything...I don't find my fingers normally wandering off to the center of the controller. It looks like if it blocks any buttons, it replaces them just fine. Yay for this thingy.
I don't mean to be indelicate, but this keyboard seems to offer curved spaces for the knees and testes.
This lends an entirely new meaning to the term *T-Board*. Whatever will people be using to press the space bar?
